Case converter
Paste text and switch it between nine casings: the editorial ones (UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case) and the programmer ones (camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE). Nothing leaves your browser.
Text is processed by your own browser and never leaves your device: this page has no server to send it to.
How it works
For the programmer casings the text is first split into words on spaces, punctuation and existing camelCase boundaries, so parseHTMLInput correctly becomes parse-html-input. Sentence case lowercases everything and then capitalizes the first letter after each sentence-ending mark.
Frequently asked questions
Does it detect existing camelCase words?
Yes. Boundaries inside identifiers are detected, including acronym runs, so converting parseHTMLInput to snake_case gives parse_html_input rather than one mangled word.
Is Title Case here the same as book-title style?
It capitalizes every word, which is the common tool behavior. Editorial style guides lowercase short words like of and the; tweak those few words by hand if you follow such a guide.
Which casing should I use for file and URL names?
kebab-case. Lowercase with hyphens is the convention for URLs (search engines treat hyphens as word separators) and avoids case-sensitivity surprises across operating systems.
