JSON to CSV converter

Paste a JSON array of objects and get spreadsheet-ready CSV. The union of all keys becomes the header row, commas and quotes are escaped correctly, and your data stays in the browser.

How it works

Every object in the array becomes one row. The header row is the union of all keys in the order they first appear, so objects with missing fields still line up. Values containing commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted per the CSV standard, and nested objects are serialized as JSON.

Frequently asked questions

What JSON shapes are supported?

An array of objects is the main case. An array of arrays is written through as raw rows, and a single object becomes a one-row CSV. Plain scalars are rejected because they have no columns.

What happens with missing or nested fields?

Missing fields become empty cells. Nested objects and arrays are embedded as JSON text in their cell, quoted so the CSV still parses cleanly.

Will Excel open the result correctly?

Yes. The output follows RFC 4180 quoting, which Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice all read. If your locale expects semicolons, use the import dialog and pick comma as the delimiter.
