Lorem ipsum generator
Generate the classic lorem ipsum filler for mockups and layout tests: pick how many paragraphs, copy, paste. Sentence and paragraph lengths vary naturally, and it all happens in your browser.

How it works
Paragraphs are assembled from the traditional lorem ipsum vocabulary with randomized sentence and paragraph lengths, so the text has the ragged shape of real prose instead of repeating one block. The first paragraph opens with the canonical Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet line.
Frequently asked questions
Why use lorem ipsum instead of real text?
Filler text keeps design reviews about the layout instead of the words. Its Latin-like letter distribution produces realistic line lengths without anyone stopping to read it.
Where does lorem ipsum come from?
It is scrambled Latin derived from Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum, in use as printer's filler since the 1500s and standard in typesetting ever since.
Is the text identical every time?
No. Sentence and paragraph lengths are randomized on every generation, so two runs differ; only the canonical opening line is fixed.
